Lorry (Shuai) Ma is an architectural and urban designer based in Los Angeles. He works and focuses on various mediums, including architecture, urban planning, interactive architecture, game platform, 3d scanning, and visualization. During his seven years' study and practice in architecture and related field, he tries to find new concepts, design methods and technology in visual and architectural practice through design work, fiction and tectonics.
Lorry Ma is a graduate from Master of Architecture program of Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) where he also worked as a peer mentor for graduate and undergraduate programs. He also holds Bachelor of Architecture degree from Qingdao University of Technology During this period, he worked on some projects of old town renovation, urban renewal projects, ancient city protection and so on. He regards that changes happened in architecture and living space have a profound impact on local culture, environment and residents’ behavior.
